Every year we go with Terrence's company to a manager's meeting. They hold it different places each year and this year was to be Cordelaine, Id. I was actually excited, as I had heard it is beautiful there. We have been going to the meetings for a very long time and have heard most of what they have to tell us several times, although they have fun and different activities each time. While we were in Italy a few weeks before they called and asked Terrence if he would do a presentation that was needed in Sweden. The only thing was that it would be over manager's meetings, so would he mind doing that instead? Since the spouses are invited to manager's meetings and I wouldn't be able to go if he weren't going they graciously offered for me to go to Sweden with Terrence! Yay! We had a great time, and now I understand the job that he has been working on for the past year so much better. It was incredible to travel around and see the Northland project from the beginning to the end.
We arrived in Stockholm in the evening after our Paris layover. We took a stroll along the city at 10:30 at night. It was so light I couldn't believe it. All of the following pictures were taken between 10 and 11 pm. It was a very beautiful, and clean city.
We saw the palace grounds in the old city. It was surrounded by young guards in uniform.
We ate dinner at the Fem Sma Hus (5 small houses). It was a delicious fish dinner with the hors d'oeuvres (tiny fish eggs exclusive to the area) with sour cream and chives served on small cakes. It was late so everything was closed but light outside as if it were dusk at 10:00 p.m.
We window shopped...
and walked along the river.
We stayed at the Stockholm airport with the people from the Northland Project. The next day will be in Pajala to go to the convention where Terrence will present for Savage.
